I read your comment and thought I’d give cachyos a go and it’s no go. I particularly wanted to try cachyos with openbox but I couldn’t find it. Apparently to install an openbox cachy is you have to do an online install procedure. I tried using ventoy but couldn’t even get a live session going. It kept failing with an error so onward to Manjaro!

Definitely CachyOS should be in the list, and near the top.

It beats them all, if you like a extreme fast system, with Calmare installer ect. A super friendly community that is very helpsome and friend to ANY. Also, CachyOS support All the new Hardware, and make the apps fit your PC, so do you have a new pc, then the apps will be compiled according to that, so you always get the best! The also have several kernels to choose from, so you always can get the max out of your cpu, either it’s intel or amd. No other distro do this.

I would say that EndeavourOS and CachyOS is pretty like each other, with extra features like better kernel choise etc with CachyOS.

They also fix errors, if the got any info about one pretty fast!

My top list:
CachyOS – EndeavourOS (Sharing place 1)
Arch – 2nd.

And that’s its…. I won’t touch those others, been there, done that.

It uses KDE and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it’s smoothness and compatibility for my older and newer laptops for a few weeks now. It also defaults to BTRFS, which has made my Timeshift backups a matter of seconds.

Artix Linux is a rolling-release distribution, based on Arch Linux.

It uses real init systems, because PID1 must be simple, secure and stable.

https://manjarno.snorlax.sh/
https://github.com/arindas/manjarno

other than that it’s a nice list!

Most distros (including Garuda and Manjaro) do not recommend that you install multiple DEs. The ArcoLinux Calamares installer (regardless of the flavor of the version — those different versions just tell you what comes loaded onto the ISO for the live environment) allows you to choose multiple DEs and/or WMs on install, and also the customized settings tool allows you to install and remove. Each one comes customized for ArcoLinux. AFAIK, this makes it the distro offerin the largest selection of window managers.
